How Do Spirits Communicate?

Spirit Communication

I think a lot of people who have lost someone feel lost themselves. Eventually, they start to look for a confirmation that the person has passed and that they are okay. They want to know if they are being checked-in on, but when grief sets in, sometimes we can’t recognize the messages being sent.

There are a few common ways that spirits try to communicate with us:

  1. Songs: Do you have the same song playing in your head over and over? Music is one way that spirits can gently send you a message. After my aunt passed away, I would constantly hear her favourite song, Feliz Navidad. I’m hoping this Christmas is not a repeat!
  2. Animals: Birds and other wild animals are often embodied by spirits. It is one way our loved ones can communicate and see us in an earthly form. If a wild bird is trying to get your attention, take a second look.
  3. Tokens and Signs: Coins and other sentimental objects are used as tokens for communication. If you are finding dimes in strange places, or directly in your path as you walk down the street, this could be a sign from your loved one who has passed away. Other than coins, your sentimental object could be anything of meaning between you. Perhaps it’s a seashell or type of flower. When you keep your heart and mind open and ready, you’ll see the signs.
  4. Dreams: We talked about this earlier in the week, but dreams are a prime way for spirits to connect with you. You are in the most suggestable state around 3am. If you are having a dream of your loved one of them saying good-bye and letting you know they are okay, this is accurate. Never doubt that they came to you.
  5. Bumps in the Night: Not to get into great detail again, but noises, electronic interference and smells can all be signs from a spirit. Check out Wednesday’s post (see above link).
